Feb 6, 1864; son of Louis and Amanda [Miller] Doxey; public school 
edn., Nashville; married Sallie P. Harvey, of Henderson, Ky., 1884; 
1 child: Arthur; 2nd marriage, Mary Snipes of Henderson, May 24, 1907. 
Began business in Henderson, 1880, and has since conducted leading 
barber shop and bath room in city; proprietor Doxey Theatre; only 
moving picture house conducted by colored person in vicinity; owns 
house and other property. Trustee A.M.E. Zion church.  Mason; past 
master local lodge; delegate to Grand Lodge of Ky., several times; 
past chancellor Knights of Pythias.  Home: 210 Elm St. Office: 105 
Main St., Henderson, Ky.
