Shortly after marriage Alfred moved to Lena, IL and stayed 1 yr, then 
returned to Ohio to Western Star, then Sharon Center in Medina Co OH. 
In Oct 1863 the family moved to Jones Co Iowa and lived nearly 20 years, 
then went to Monticello for 1 or 2 years. In 1884 they went to Rolfe, Iowa  
and in 1900 to Monticello.
